New Design New DesignWritten by DownOn April 1st, 2006 02:40 PM in Community News About a month ago, we had to sort of kick ourselves in the ***. All of us (myself included) who have been working on the new features of neverside have been unexpectedly busy with school, work or even both at the same time. As for myself, my little free time away from school, homework and work had been devoted to things like eating, sleeping or spending time away from the computer with friends. I hate to say it, but development of neverside seemed like a low priority to me. About a month ago, we all had to sort of kick ourselves in the *** and realize that we just needed to buckle down and finish things. Scott has been busy getting the search (for real this time), profiles and pms all ready to go. The design is closer than ever and needs to have just a few more templates then everything will be ready to go. I am not going to give any release date, but I will say one thing for certain: all this cool new stuff is closer that it was yesterday :P. Anyway, since the design itself is finished, I thought you might appreciate a bit of a preview of what it looks like.
As you can see, this is the profile for BigToach. This image is shrunk down a bit to fit, but it includes some of Scott's studio contributions, some info about him and his most recent posts. Anyways like I said, I rather like it. It's nice and clean. The current design for NS is nice, but rather broken looking. It's like Aeon or whoever did the basic PSD and then about a dozen people messed with it after him... The same with the CSS work... One person "started it" and it looks like a dozen people messed with it. The new layout looks fresh, clean, and organised. I hope it turns out to be so. April 11th, 2006 09:05 PMJust to clarify, there will be an ad, but it will not go in the lue area next to the logo, and it will blend in so as not to stand out too much. The new design does indeed look very fresh and clean, quite an improvement over the current one (which I also happen to like a lot). All there is is a forum and studio! Studio is nothing compared to deviantart and the forum, well, lets just add it to the list of 4billion forums on the web eh?!
